Hello beautiful soul! My name is Karina I am a Usui Reiki teacher, intuitive, registered nurse of 33 years and the heart behind Breathe Reiki Room in Ohāupo, NZ.

This space was born from a deep calling to be of service to my community and to offer gentle, soulful and sacred healing. I am honoured to share my insights and wisdom with all who visit here. 

I have spent a good part of 10 years learning Usui Reiki under Reiki Master/Teacher Yolanda Cholmondeley-Smith of Cambridge, NZ. Yolanda has over 30 years of Reiki wisdom under her belt so to say, so I am blessed to have been taught by one of NZ's best.

I now carry that lineage forward in my own way, blending traditional Usui Reiki with intuitive insights and the healing perspective I’ve gained as a registered nurse. 

I live on a lifestyle block with my partner Austin and our menagerie of cats, dogs and chickens. I am a mum to 4 amazing adults. I love to bake sourdough, I love summer, gardening, coffee and pastries ~ simple joys are the sweetest ~ and reading, journaling, and reformer pilates, amongst a few things. I work as a registered nurse at a private hospital and after 33 years of nursing I continue to feel blessed to be in the profession that I chose when I was 18. In a nutshell, I am happiest tinkering at home with family, my garden, books, flowers, sourdough and being in the sunshine.
