As a Registered Nurse and Reiki Master/Teacher, I understand both conventional medicine and energy healing, and I believe the most profound healing happens when we honour both. 

Whether you're dealing with chronic pain, women's health concerns, stress and overwhelm, trauma, or just life in general, Reiki offers a complementary layer of support that addresses what medication and physical treatment alone cannot touch: the emotional and energetic roots of what you're experiencing.

At Breathe Reiki Room Reiki in beautiful Ōhaupō, you are invited to slow down, reconnect, and experience the gentle power of Usui Reiki. Each offering is a sacred, nurturing space for your healing journey to begin and where you can develop a deeper connection to your inner self.

What is Usui Reiki?

Usui Reiki is a gentle, hands-on energy healing practice that supports balance in the mind, body, and nervous system. Reiki works by helping the body shift out of stress and survival mode, creating the perfect conditions for relaxation, release, and restoration.

During a Reiki healing session, light touch is used to support the natural flow of energy through the body. I act as a calm, grounded conduit, holding a nurturing and supportive space where your system can soften and settle. Many people seek Reiki for chronic pain, burnout, stress, or when their body feels constantly “on high alert.”

Each session is guided by what your body needs in that moment, supporting a sense of safety, ease, and coming back into balance.

What to Expect in a Usui Reiki Session

Your Reiki session is gentle, unhurried, and guided by your comfort at all times.

You’ll remain fully clothed, lying down or seated comfortably.

Sessions are generally 60 minutes long.

I use light, respectful touch. There is no need to talk, perform, or “do” anything — your body leads the process.

Many people experience a sense of deep calm, warmth, or gentle release during a session. Others simply notice their body softening or their mind becoming quieter. Every experience is different, and all responses are welcome.

Reiki does not force change. Instead, it offers your body a safe space to rest, rebalance, and restore in its own time — especially helpful if you’ve been living with chronic pain, stress, or exhaustion.
